On Moving
I'm moving my blog to wordpress. I've enjoyed my stay but have found out that Vox is closing their website. Even though I moved from there, my blog is still there and I'm not ready to give up that little part of myself. So I'm going to import both blogs if allowed *crossed fingers* and start off with just one blog under plusonehuman.wordpress.com thank you for your visits, even with my sporadic posting. I wish blogger well and it's been fun!

Accomplished!
I'm feeling pretty accomplished! So far today I have paid two bills and washed the dog. Yeah not a huge deal for many uber martha-esque types but a pretty good day for me considering it's hot outside and I didn't go to bed till 4 am this morning! Now to take a quick shower, grab a can opener (is for lunch!) and off to work!

1st Toy Society Drop, On Clean House, On Overly Chocolatey Brownies!
* My first Toy Society Drop is ready but I have to get a picture of it first as my camera phone is messing up. I'm planning on hijacking Cody's and using blue tooth to upload and drop it somewhere tomorrow! I'm very excited and will probably edit this post to add the picture!
* I have been cleaning my home with mostly environmentally safe cleaners (Vinegar, Baking Soda, Lemon Juice, Castile Soap) with a little dish soap and using up the remainder laundry soap before I make my own. Explaining this to Cody is similar to talking to a brick wall. He keeps bringing home Pine Sol, Anti bacterial chemical laden cleaners only to leave them still in their bags around our home! Vinegar with some water is already anti bacterial and the smell fades to just clean instead of fruity, pine-y, or flowery. Eh, seems more explaining is in order. I'm also thinking of just putting Vinegar in with water to shampoo my carpet, will it work? Maybe Castile soap and Vinegar. Hmmmm!* Cody made brownies yesterday with way too much Chocolate chips included...I have added a banana to wrap in the overly chocolaty goodness and it cuts it pretty well!
Not much else going on, just getting ready for work! Have a blessed day!

Super cute web comic, Cleaning up and catching up,
* I know it's been a while since I've blogged but hopefully I'm catching up to all the craziness that has occurred!
New Job is awesome but since I'm offered overtime, I take it. Which leave much less time for blogging, cleaning, knitting, sewing and such! I am evening out now though where I'm on a semi permanent schedule at least that's how it's printed up now for the next month, at least!
* I found a super cute web comic by accident. I love it! it's Kawaii Not and I see a bunch of amigurumi's knitted up in the future using idea's from http://www.kawaiinot.com
I also love cyanide and happiness. http://www.explosm.net/comics/2076/
* Well hopefully, I'll be back to keeping up a blog soon!

Happy Earth Day!, New job, Netflix
* I must confess. I didn't celebrate Earth Day by doing anything really great for the earth exactly. I have decided to cut up old shirts and make them into crochet string market bags but I haven't started them. I did horrible stuff for the earth as go through and throw away mail, shred paper and trash it, mow the lawn, kill many mosquitoes! I ate really crappy food for me and did laundry (not earth friendly). I have all my lights on in the house right now. I guess I'm a bad tenant this year.
I usually try to do good things year round though. I recycle, keep my house temp high in the summer and low in the winter, I use vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice, and elbow grease to clean. I wash my car at home with a bit of liquid dish soap and water opposed to mean green and all the chemicals that entails. I do not poison my lawn. I have a wide variety of weeds growing and I call it grass! Those weeds keep growing back for a reason! If they do pop up on my rocky areas I kill them with boiling water. I am growing my own tomatoes, I have a compost (eh mostly just worm food) pile- I won't me using it for gardening this year. I am planning on burying it and starting over in a new spot. I do not usually buy new, I try to buy used or use what I have to make due! I am trying to go mostly vegetarian again.
So I guess I use earth day to consume since I try to keep my consumption low the rest of the year. I know I should do more, but it's a good start!
* I have a career now! I'm very excited! I will work in the Central Sterile Processing Department of Barnes Jewish Hospital. There are a ton of perks including tuition reimbursement, gym membership discounts, metro discounts, great health, dental, and vision plans, adoption aiding program, and childcare facilities....Really Awesome and I'm super excited to join a team that provides all the surgical utensils to the world renowned doctors of Barnes Jewish!!! yay!! Plus scrubs are provided and washed at the hospital, I know it's for health and disease reasons but really...I don't have to do laundry for work or buy a uniform??? How Cool! My sister pointed out that working there I may be accepted to attend Wash U. The number 12 college in the nation according to National Universities Ranking. Acceptance rate is only 21.7% so it would take a miracle to get in, but still, it's amazing.
*We have streaming video on the Xbox 360 from Netflix. I save a ton of money and time using it. I love it. Enough said!

I've got a golden ticket.....!
In lieu of the fancy Easter baskets for friends and family. I've decided to give something special! Willy Wonka Chocolate Bars complete with the chance to win a golden ticket ! The prize is a trip around the world with with 3 friends/family and $12,500 spending money. How great it is to actually live in a world where a Wonka Bar is actually sold! The original score soars through my brain every time I think of the chocolate bar. "I've got a golden twinkle in my eye."

stacked beef enchiladas, rainy day soup weather, netflix
*I made stacked beef enchiladas for lunch and they were super yummy. I took some to Cody for lunch! It's my mom's recipe for them...
1 lb of ground beef
2 cups of cheese (cheddar)
Enchilada packet of seasoning *(prepare with tomato sauce or paste per instructions on back)
*I use 1 lg can of tomato sauce with the packet.
1 small onion
1 can olives
1 packet of taco sized flour or corn tortillas (your preference)
Cook ground beef.
Prepare enchilada sauce.
Place a tortilla in the sauce to cover completely and lift out ( I usually plate it to make enchiladas easier!)
Put 1-2 tablespoons of ground beef on the sauced tortilla and a sprinkle of onions and olives, fold in half (or thirds with filling inside)and place in a casserole dish.
Repeat and lay next enchilada against first and press against dish. Once enchiladas are all in dish they should be as snug as possible without overlapping. Cover with the rest of enchilada sauce and onions and olives. Top with cheese and put in oven at 350° for about 20 mins or until cheese is bubbly and melted!
Yummy!
* Tutored Cody Lynn and Shell sent me home with some minestrone soup and bread from Ohio! I'm going to heat it for dinner...Yes it's 9:12 pm and I haven't had dinner yet!
* We are going to watch the two movies we rented and having Cody turn netflix off is going to be tough. He's really enjoying the comedy section. It's also going to be a struggle to have him work on "Blink". Ahhhh! Finish your book already. I'm ready for Blink to be out of the zombie pen and on with his journey!

cold misty day, chores, princess and the frog!
*It's cold and kinda yucky outside.I had a short work day which was pretty cool. The last hour seems to take forever! Cody forgot his phone at home :( and I'm contemplating dinner. I'm thinking it's soup weather and can't decide between navy bean and split pea, probably navy bean. I might be able to persuade Cody to eat it if I load it with hamburger meat but good luck with him eating split pea!
* I have tomorrow off but will spend it tutoring algebra to codi lynn. She's having an awful time with her college class. If I can help keep her on task and ahead of the homework we might have a fighting chance of her completing with a high C or low B. Since I will be in Hazelwood most of tomorrow, I need to catch up on chores here this evening. Then watch 2012 and the princess and the frog :)).
* Chores consist of dishes, laundry and maybe if I'm super ambitious, attaching the closet to the wall! Closet will be attached on the left perpendicular wall to the window. Keep your fingers crossed!

Interweb, Stitch Markers, Nesting

*Internet is up and running now! I feel that we will stay home much more now. Even though I did love our outings to the library, now book searching time will not be eaten away by internet time!
*Now to find the perfect desk for the living room. My aunt was super awesome and gave me a small desk but I am worried it is too small for Cody's desktop so we will keep looking for a desk and I will use it for my sewing machine area instead!

*I finished the crochet stitch markers (pictured!) for liz at work. I really like how they turned out! I think I'll make a couple copper ones for myself!
*Now to just work on my yard, after it snows this weekend of course!!

New Blog, Road Construction, Still Job Hunting
* I have a new blog! It's this one! My old one is jennyeileen.vox.com and even though I love it's layout better. I like the way this one functions and since I no longer have internet on my phone there is no real reason to stay with vox! Hello new shiny blog!!! *Kisses.
*Road construction on the way to the library sucked today!
* The real reason I showed up here was to see if I got an email saying, Hey! Come have an interview for this awesome full time job with terrific benefits, No Dice. Still crossing my fingers and hoping though!
